South Magnolia Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Project

Project Description
The existing South Magnolia combined sewer overflow (CSO) facility has 19 overflows per year on average that discharge a total of 31 million gallons of untreated wastewater and stormwater into Puget Sound off South Magnolia. This project involved the construction of a facility to store peak combined sewer flows so that combined sewer overflows are limited. The facility includes an underground storage tank, a new 3,000- foot gravity sewer pipeline, and an above-ground equipment building, driveway access.
